opinion post :P

i was doing blog rounds as usual, and saw designer Jenny Packham's name - it is likely a celebrity was rocking her designs, but i forget who/wear/what now. anyway, because i had bookmarked her in an earlier post, i decided to follow up and see what she'd come up with since.
All i can say is, goodbye cutesy!!

the designer - who appears to be well known for her wedding dress designs - seems to have done a 180 design wise, and i don't think i,m quite as excited as i could have been by the evolution. it's almost as if there's a little too much something going on, which i cant seem to place my finger on.

she keeps her sequins and shimmery detailing, which i like. perhaps i.m on the fence about the designs because i cant seem to visualize my figure looking particularly stunning in most of the longer dresses.

i did really like the blu ones tho, especially the one in the middle below:
the one on the right also i love, particularly because of the neckline, sleeves, and interestingly placed sequins on the shoulder and waist. on this dress the breezy flow of the fabric looks really nice.

now i cant figure out if this is a dress or a two-piece ensemble. either way it's different from the other pieces in the collection and i really like it because of that. i like the way the detailed skirt looks on the model, even paired with all the impossible cut-outs on the top.

any opinions? faves? or could you care less about J.Packham?

a post independent-streak-weight-gain jessica simpson also graced the cover of Glamour magazine. i was never her biggest fan but i find myself on her side of the stadium, pom-poms in hand and all!
in that vein i suppose the least i can do is put up a picture. it'll be just one i promise :D

good to see her back on a cover, even though apparently she's back in splitsville again. *sigh*

La Lo on eLLe!

yes, every remotely-fashion-related blogger has put these up already, but i couldn't help it: i love these shots!

i find that they're not raunchy in their edgy sexiness. and even though i'm so over Lindsay, the girl sure knows how to work a shoot! what say ye, heart it or hate it?
