Abraham wasn't a Christian.

He wasn’t even a Jew. Wasn’t a Muslim, either. So... how did he hear from God? How did he know who God was?

I flipped through Genesis and gathered this much: Adam had a bunch of kids, people married people, some believe there was an intermingling of species and evil spread rapidly through the land, so God decided to flood everyone out. But there was one good guy left:
Genesis 6:9 ESV
“Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.”
Everyone else was rubbish.
Cool cool, God asked him to build an ark, save himself and killed everyone else.
But after the flood, after God re-blessed Noah and his peeps with the same blessings He blessed Adam and Eve with (fruitful, multiply, oh also: don’t kill each other or you’ll be killed right back), Noah’s kids filled the earth.

Butttt Noah had one son who had some toutish traits & that guy became the father of the Philistines & all the -ites who caused trouble for the children of Isreal. Talk about sibling rivalry.

Here’s where Abraham comes in: the world is messed up all over again, they tried to build the tower of Babel, God confuses them, they scatter, have more kids, then one guy shows up and God asks him to move out of home.
Lol.
How did he knowww it was God?
Why didn’t he just say it was all his imagination & not move?
I mean, God didn’t even tell him where he was going. He just said, “pack your load, carry your slippers and be coming.”

Kai.

Then God asked him to wait countless years to have a child -meanwhile, back home, they were popping kids nonstop- then he now had the kid (amidst other drama lol) & God says, “Oya kill the kid.” He goes all the way up the mountain, even ties the poor boy down, then God says, “Lol jk kill the ram instead.”
And it’s from that - those irrational moves of obedience - that he was called the Father of Faith.

And the guy wasn’t even a Christian.

Our relationship with God is meant to be intimate. Personal. Tailor-made for us. The template of religion is just as bad as idol worship. God speaks to every living creature.
Listen. Believe. Obey.
That’s all that is required of us.

The #FaithForWealth course!

πŸ”” REGISTRATION OPEN! Link in bio! πŸ””
The #FaithForWealth course is a FREE, faith-based financial wealth course targeted at women but applicable to men. The purpose of the course is to correct wrong perspectives of wealth, reveal truth, explain purpose, instill true value and empower women to faith-led action that will generate lasting wealth.

It came about after I realised that I didn't understand wealth. I certainly didn't understand why some people seemed to work hard & remain poor, while others seemed not to work hard at all & were very rich.
I had also fallen into the mental/cultural trap of hoping that I'll figure it all out "when I get married," that I'd automatically find myself in wealth when I got married. It's true that marriage introduces a level of responsibility that not all single people have to deal with, but we all can - and should - be financially responsible, married or not.

After struggling with my finances CONSTANTLY, I took it all to God🀷🏽‍♀ I asked God for the Wisdom for Wealth and was led to start the weekly livechat titled, #AWomansWealth.
But… I found myself talking more about God than money. From the role of the genders, to character, the Kingdom of God, the Power of the miraculous, manifesting God's Wisdom in our daily lives, marriage, and the purpose of wealth from God's Perspective.

Turns out the entire year had been one long lesson plan. God was explaining that A Woman's Wealth is Wisdom, Wisdom comes from God and it is God Who gives the power to create wealth. I was led to study the Prov 31 Woman & Eve and found that both women are pivotal in understanding the woman's unique attitude to money, provision and work.

All this is coming together in the #FaithForWealth course. We will go over the woman's attitude to wealth, God's original mandate for wealth, God as the source of ALL creativity and wisdom for wealth creation & how to practice using Faith to fulfil God's mandate of Wealth for us.

The course will run for 7 weeks. Each week will have 1 introductory video and 5 daily tasks.
Registered participants will get the course materials sent to their mailboxes (so make sure you register!πŸ˜ƒ)

Fall in Love with Your Life

Regret. Daydreams...
Regrets disguised as fantasies.
Erasing and re-creating what was, into what could have been.
The Ghosts of Expectations Past disguised as hope-for-the-future.
Emotional baggage parading around as #Goals.

Shake. Them. Off. πŸ‘πŸ½

What has gone is gone.
No matter how amazing it was, what is coming is better. But more than that, what is NOW is best, because it is all you actually have.

It is all I actually have...

I’m trying to learn to create a life I love: here, now, with everything I have today - not what I had yesterday or hope to acquire tomorrow.
I’m trying to learn to fall in love with TODAY, so that my daydreams are not more beautiful than my reality.

What is gone is gone.
What will be, will come.
What is, is precious. I receive the grace to enjoy every present moment, in Jesus’ name πŸ™πŸ½

FILTERS✨πŸ‘“

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Rom 10:17)

That second "by" suggests a filter:
We can hear an instruction from God and filter it by our feels, OR we can filter His instruction through His heart of Love for us (as revealed in the written Word).

Eg: God says, "Abraham, leave your father's house & go to the land I will show you."
•Pressure interprets that as: "Get out of your father's house because you're not making enough money and you need to suffer in order to learn."
•Other people: "God is a God of Honour, He would never ask you to dishonour your father by breaking away from his household."
•Fear: "I knew it was my father's people who were 'doing' me!"
•Expectation: "God said it's when I leave home that I'll finally blow. Thank God ooo!"

None of those interpretations carry the heart of God for Abraham.
Did God say? Yes.
Everything else is filtered - not by God's Word, but by emotion.

Should we then not ask? Just run ahead without understanding why? Maybe, but God knows His children's curious mindsπŸ˜„ plus, He’s a God of conversation. He said, "Come, let us reason together." (Isa 1:18)
If we don't understand, we can ask without fear, without worrying that He'll banish us to hell for not obeying immediately. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." (Jas 1:5)

So how can we tell when it's our emotion vs God?🀷🏽‍♀
All I know is that we must trust that God’s will for us is best & His heart for us is Love.
If we can filter His Instruction through the lens of Love then we can rest in the fact that He will show us how to honour Him without dishonouring others.

So that when God says, "Abraham, leave…" the options we come up with would sound more like:
•Love: "That land must be great! I can't wait to go."
•Honour: "Lord, please give my father peace with this move."
•Trust: "I will go. I trust that You Are with me."

Don't be so worried about whether you heard; rather, check your heart to see what emotion you're filtering the Word through. God will clarify & redirect us; we just need to be open to receiving His correction by His Perspective.
