The event was the Future Awards, and the mastermind behind this confusion of fabrics and textures is upcoming designer MAI, who according to this source will be making even more dresses after this one (gasp!!) for none other than recently admired mbgn. Dear Lord!

i want to say i can see the concept, and give props to the designer for thinking and working outside the box, and that i am glad to encourage this infusion of creativity into our society... but no.
