1) Admit that it sucks.
Stop
pretending. There's no medal for forming for yourself. Don't be ashamed
that you have feelings. Don't let anyone tell you there's something
wrong with being a little disappointed. It's okay.2) Find Something to do.
DON'T spend your day on Instagram/ social media. That "God's love is all you need" thing can really…π€πIf you can, log off for the day.
Go see a movie. Or watch a movie at home. Take yourself to the spa, or to dinner, or cook yourself something special. Exercise, or dance in your room. Then sleep. You'll feel better on the 15th (or, the 16th, last last.π€·π½)
3) DON'T call your ex/ booty call/ situationship person. No. Don't do it. Don't tell him/her you miss them. π΅BACK AWAY FROM YOUR PHONE!❌
4) Show love.
Call your friend who's going through a tough time. Take your mum out or get her something Pray for/with someone. Send a text to your aunt who lost her husband. Send money to that guy at church who you know needs it.
5) Spend time with God.
You can even whine to Him. You can ask Him why you're here again, lonely on Valentine's day for yet another year - He won't be angry. And after you've cried (if you're the crying type), turn on some serious loving worship music and bask in Him.
ππ½What NOT to say to a Single (Whole, Perfect and Complete) person on Valentine's day:
1) "You have God's love, that's all you need."
You have God's love, too, and you also have a boo. Back offπ π½♀️π πΎ♂️
2) "Enjoy your single years, before you know it you'd wish you were single again."
If you're married & wishing you were single again, you're not the best person to give relationship advice at the moment.
3) "At least you didn't settle."
True ππ½, but that's not the only reason why people are in their feels on Val's day. Your friend is allowed to desire to be in a GOOD, loving relationship, today of all days.
4) "Focus on your Purpose."
Your friend may already be walking in Purpose & enjoying the Single journey with God. They're allowed to want a godly relationship, as well✌
